By now, you’ve probably realized that feeding our kids (and yours!) healthy, nutritious, energy-increasing foods is very important to us and our families. But at the heart of that passion is also a devotion to wanting the same opportunity at health and wellness for those in need.
According to Feeding America, the USDA estimates over 16 million children last year, were living in “food insecure” (low or very low food security) households in the United States. A similar number (22%) of children were living in poverty. Proper nutrition is vital in childhood to support growth and long-term health. Malnutrition affects bone development, physical strength, mental concentration, can cause nutritional deficiencies (iron, Vitamin A, zinc) and decaying teeth and can stunt growth.
That's why we've decided to partner with the Food Bank For New York City and donate a portion of our profits to their ceaseless efforts in fighting hunger for almost 30 years. Food Bank For New York City is the city’s major hunger-relief organization working to end food poverty throughout the five boroughs. They attest that every $1 donated helps provide 5 meals for New Yorkers in need. The people of our community are important to us and making sure we are aligned with an organization doing its very best to help those people couldn't feel better.
